Lifeline is powered by volunteers willing to give their time to help prevent people from committing suicide. To provide this service the team needed very specific tools built to connect them with supervisors to mentor them through difficult calls.

Key responsibilities

  • Been responsible for building the UI and integrations for the platform that provides this service for Lifeline.
  • Upskilled in Twilio Flex so that we could adapt the platform to accommodate Lifelines user flows.
  • Adapted Google’s Material UI to better align with Lifelines design conventions and keep consistency across their solutions.
  • Added micro interactions for things like message bubbles animations and emoji popups to make the overall experience of using that platform day in and out more engaging.
